Nestled in the tidal estuary of the Fraser River in the community of Delta, a suburb of Vancouver, British Columbia, the floathome is moored in a peaceful setting at a small marina. An important resting place for hundred of species of migratory birds, the marshlands of the Fraser delta are protected from development. Close to Port Guichon Elementary School, Delta Secondary School and the business district of Ladner in the municipality of Delta, the floathome is within walking distance of shops, public transit and recreational facilities. The floathome is within 30 minutes drive of Vancouver International Airport; 45 minutes' drive to downtown Vancouver; 20 minutes' drive to the Peace Arch Canada-US border station; and 10 minutes' to the BC Ferries terminal at Tsawwassen.
